Shops
The nearest town is Leek, which has supermarkets including Morrisons, Sainsburys, Aldi, Lidl and Asda as well as some national chain stores. There is a village shop in the nearby villages of Ipstones and Waterhouses for general groceries. Ashbourne is also reasonably close in the opposite direction and also has a range of shops.
Places to Eat
At the time of writing, the Onecote village pub, The Jervis Arms, is due to reopen but is currently closed. The Cottage Kitchen based on the A523 serves a range of meals and snacks and is under a mile away from the village. Otherwise, there are several pubs in surrounding villages as well as a vast choice of pubs and restaurants in Leek and Ashbourne.
Doctors and Hospitals
The nearest doctors surgery is in Waterhouses. Alternatively, Leek has doctors surgeries and a Minor injuries walk-in centre. The nearest major hospitals are the Royal Stoke University Hospital, located around 18 miles away or Macclesfield Hospital, approximately 20 miles away.
